The key to flawless edges is using an old credit card or similar card to 'scrape' the edge of the tape before you paint. Kinda like using a squeegee to apply graphics. This makes sure the tape is totally flat and no bleeding will occur. You only need to do this to the side of the tape that you will be painting agaist.
